“The great team approach and successes the Paragon team has accomplished in the program management office were no secret to community here. When the opportunity arose to join the Paragon team, I took it.”
What type of work do you do at Paragon?
I am a Senior IT training specialist. Currently, I'm working in a small software development team. I contribute to a number of roles including requirements solicitation, software testing, and software documentation. This is a fairly new team, so it is exciting to be on the ground floor shaping the effort.
What excites you about your work?
The fact that every day is different keeps work exciting. In my role, I support various user communities. This means there are new people, new challenges, and new processes to learn on a regular basis. Boredom is not a concern.
What differentiates Paragon from other DoD contractors?
The great team approach and successes the Paragon team has accomplished in the program management office were no secret to community here. When the opportunity arose to join the Paragon team, I took it.
What special projects have you worked on?
Originally, I supported the USTRANSCOM Program Management Office. While there, the position of Government Program Manager for one of the systems was vacated. I had the opportunity to basically fill that position while the Government worked out their staffing plan. This was an exciting time for the program and I was happy to be a key player supporting the program through the transition.
What traditions and/or rituals do you use to "shake up" the workday?
Most days are filled with some good natured razzing between team members that keeps the day entertaining. On occasion, my cube mate will do a magic trick. Hopefully someday he'll slip up so I can figure out how he does them!
